The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. This role plays a critical part in optimizing procurement operations, reducing costs, and supporting the company's supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement Planning

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals

Forecast procurement needs and support annual budget planning
2. Vendor and Supplier Management

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and service

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships

Lead vendor performance reviews and manage supplier disputes
3. Contract Negotiation and Management

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms

Ensure adherence to contractual terms and monitor expiration and renewal schedules

Minimize procurement risks through sound contract management
4. Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards

Develop and enforce procurement policies and procedures

Support procurement audits and address any compliance issues
5. Operational Execution

Oversee the full procurement lifecycle: RFI, RFQ, RFP, PO issuance, and delivery tracking

Utilize ERP or procurement systems to streamline operations

Coordinate with logistics and inventory teams to manage stock levels effectively
6. Team Leadership and Development

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

5–7+ years of experience in a procurement or strategic sourcing role

Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership capabilities

Proficient in ERP/procurement tools such as SAP, Oracle, or SAGE

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
