Job Summary:
The Production Engineer is responsible for implementing production process & procedures in the assembly line to reduce wastages (7M) by following Kaizen principles while improving efficiency, quality and safety thereby reducing the operational cost.
Education Requirements:
BS/MS in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Production/ Automobile/ Industrial engineering or equivalent.
Work Experience Requirements:
1-2 Years
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Exposure to 2D/3D drawing software
- Experienced in MS Office packages
- Basic knowledge in Six Sigma, lean manufacturing and Kaizen principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Active listener
- Good report generation skills
- Good team working and collaborative skills

Roles, responsibilities, and authorities:
• Conducts motion and time studies in the assembly line.
• Designs assembly stages based on productivity requirements.
• Engages in Kaizen activities to drive continuous improvement.
• Undertakes operation efficiency improvement exercises.
• Designs jigs/fixtures based on specific requirements.
• Assesses tool/equipment requirements in the assembly line.
• Monitors sub-material consumption.
• Assists in pilot model production.
• Provides support for local vendor development related to facility changes/modifications.
• Actively participates in the root cause analysis of safety incidents.
